Las Vegas The Luxury City

Posted on January 30th, 2015
Though a bit heavy on the neon, Las Vegas is a true feast for the eyes. The skyline is amazing, with all of the sparkling lights and massive shapes competing for attention. Every hotel is striving to top the next one with its own unique theme, majestic entrances, rollicking casinos, delectable restaurants, and impressive entertainment. It can be said that Las Vegas does not have a boring bone in its body. The marketing angle of the Las Vegas tourism board has gone from its old nickname, " Sin ...

Odessa - the most specific city of Ukraine

Posted on January 28th, 2015
What is it that makes Odessa so specific a city? Some say the answer lies in the place's celebrated cosmopolitan mix of nationalities, which has historically seen large Jewish, Greek, Russian, Moldovan and Ukrainian populations mixing freely with any number of sailors and visitors from around the world. Fashions and foreign goods have always been more plentiful in Odessa than elsewhere in the Slavic world, and this has helped foster something of an "Odessite" identity among locals. The very ...

Palawan - The Island Paradise

Posted on January 27th, 2015
Few places in the Philippines, indeed in all of Southeast Asia, can compare with Palawan. Throughout the years it has remained consistently one of the top tourist spots in the continent. Among the numerous attractions of the island, nothing is perhaps nire enthralling than its sheer bio diversity. Not only are there all kinds of creatures in the island, but over 200 of them are unique to it. The pheasant peacock, bearcat and ant eater are just among the species that can only be seen on the ...

Mahatma Gandhi

Posted on January 26th, 2015
I argue that Mahatma Gandhi (1869-1948) was a destroyer of the nation (i.e. India) and moreover a threat to the national unity, integrity, and progress. His threefold satanic legacy is constituted of his: 1. Principle of non-violence and misconception of truth 2. Idea of primordial lifestyle 3. Self-centred dictatorship All these three points are quite interwoven and ultimately support how he would have continued to destroy the nation. 1. Gandhi wrongly thought that the principle of ...

Seventy Two Raisins

Posted on January 25th, 2015
It would be nice to believe that terrorism doesn't work, but, I kind of think it does. At least, it works in the respect that if somebody wants to blow themselves and lots of innocent people up, that person can do it almost anywhere they choose to. As far as terrorism achieving specific goals - that's more of a mixed bag. The train bombings in Spain worked real swell in getting Spanish troops out of Iraq. The train bombings in England, though, I don't think that's going to. The English are more ...

ANYONE AWAKE OUT THERE?

Posted on January 23rd, 2015
As we reel from the news of the recent bombings in London, England, it is incumbent upon all of us to examine, seriously, why such attacks by Islamic Extremists are occurring. We cannot combat what we do not understand, let alone try to wage an effective war against such an insidious enemy. First of all, it must be pointed out that this terrorist war against the West is not simply the random acts of extremist thugs. Rather, we are dealing with a well-orchestrated jihad that has clearly ...
